Kyoto to Hiroshima costs ¥11,940 (about US$76) one way for an adult in a reserved ordinary seat in the regular season, on the Nozomi listed by the source. Peak and off-peak dates, a non-reserved seat or a Green Car change the price.

Route and train

Nozomi trains run through from Kyoto to Hiroshima. With a JR Pass you either add the special ticket for Nozomi or take Hikari, Kodama or Sakura trains, often with a change at Shin-Osaka or Okayama.

Does the JR Pass cover it?

Nozomi and Mizuho trains need a separate NOZOMI MIZUHO Ticket with the JR Pass. We have not published its price for this route yet; see the official special ticket page.

Is a JR Pass worth it for this trip?

A round trip (¥23,880) is about 48% of a 7 day JR Pass (¥50,000). On its own this route will not justify a pass; single tickets are cheaper unless the rest of your week involves several long trips.
